A series of artworks using live news feeds by artist Stanza. They are made using a screen scraping technique (custom made software) to mash up the news in real time to create an artwork for exhibition. These are large artworks signed by Stanza. They are outputs of the real time networked process sizes vary up to 1.8 metres across.

Context

Screen scraping: Is a technique in which a computer program extracts text data from the display output of another program, ignoring all binary data (usually images or multimedia data). The program doing the scraping is called a screen scraper.

News: Any new information or current events. The reporting of news falls into the field of journalism. News is often reported by a variety of sources, such as newspapers, television and radio programs, wire services, and web sites. News reporting is a type of journalism, typically written or broadcast in news style. Most news is investigated and presented by journalists and can be distributed to various sites via news agencies.

Mashup: (web application hybrid), a website or web application that combines content from more than one source.
